Our logo the beautiful Lotus signifies strength, resilience and rebirth. Known to grow roots in the muddy and murky waters, it is rises above all obstacles to blossom and thrive.

To us, scalp care is tied to the Sahasrara or Crown Chakra (Energy) which is located at the top of the head where it sits like a crown, radiating upwards, hence its popular name. It is considered to be one of the most important Chakras and pressure points of the body which is often depicted by the 1,000-petaled lotus symbol. We believe that through proper scalp and hair care, we can help achieve a better-balanced overall health and be more in rooted in ourselves.

Absolutely! Our treatments are focused on hair and scalp health tackling common daily concerns. Unlike hair styling products which work with different hair types, our hair treatment is meant to nourish the human hair and scalp.

We use plant-based ingredients free of tints of dyes. Our products are also free of any harsh chemicals that can cause hair colour to fade.

While we have many customers with colour treated hair that use our products regularly with no concerns, we also recommend doing a patch test as each person is unique.

Inspired by Ayurveda, our VAMA 13 Blend is custom formulated with powerful traditional native Indian plant and herb extracts.

To truly deliver on the most authentic hair oiling experience based on a holistic ancient system originating from India, we decided to go back to the roots to bring you something very special and authentic.

While we work hard to keep our products as clean and safe as possible, we have not tested on babies.

While not clinically tested, our customers who have used it to treat baldness, thinning hair and alopecia have experienced very positive results.

Our hair oils are packaged in UV protected amber glass bottles. To maintain its freshness.

Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Our hair oils are formulated to stay in liquid state at room temperature.

If you live in cold weather and temperatures fall under 15 degrees Celsius, you MAY see some small solid particles in your hair oil or notice it is slightly cloudy in nature. This is completely normal and does not impact performance of the product. This is due to the unrefined virgin coconut oil in the formulation which is naturally in a more solidified state in cooler temperatures. To remedy this, simply massage it directly into your scalp or rub the oil between your palms for a few seconds and it should completely melt away.

We choose to use virgin coconut oil because unrefined coconut oil without chemicals contains the highest benefits for skin and hair and allows us to provide you with the highest quality and effective products.

We recommend using our VAMA 13 Blend pre-wash treatment 1-2 times a week and leave on for at least 15 mins to overnight.

Our formulations are meant to target to scalp and hair, and we do not recommend using our products near or on the eye area.

Our product is not made in a nut free facility and our VAMA 13 Blend hair treatment does contain nut oil.

Hair growth cycles are different for everyone which is what makes us unique. Health conditions and hormones may also play a factor in varying results.

However, users typically see new hair growth within 2-3 months of consistent use.

The hair treatment should not stain your pillowcase as the oil treatment is formulated to be light and quick absorbing if used as directed.

However, if you are concerned, we suggest laying out a face towel or an extra pillow case over your pillow to test.

After leaving the oil one for at least 15 mins to overnight, we recommend using a clarifying shampoo or following up with your regular shampoo to wash out the hair oil. Rewash a second time if needed.

Follow up with your regular hair care routine as normal. We recommend using it with our VAMA Silk post wash hair oil for best results.

Our VAMA 13 Blend hair oil treatment does not contain any synthetic fragrances and carry notes from its natural ingredients. It has a light woody scent from the Sandalwood with a hint of coconut which envelopes you into a spa like experience.

All our hair oils are custom formulations using high quality Ayurvedic ingredients from India.

Our vegan and cruelty free treatments are also mineral oil, paraben, and silicone free making our line an absolute favorite for natural and effective clean hair care products.

Our oils are packaged in amber glass bottles which are safe and reusable. This is important to us because not only does it protect against the effects of visible light rays, but amber glass also block UV light rays to prolong our product shelf life.

Our boxes are made of paper which are all recyclable.
